One of our aims is to create opportunities for all those in our community. With access to the right resources, people can become empowered by their own abilities and gain the confidence to fulfil their potential. Through out the year we run a variety of adult learning, from wellbeing, cookery, to community organising.
NBDT hold community organising as central to all we do. Community Organising is the work of bringing people together to take action around their common concerns and overcome social injustice. Community Organisers reach out and listen, connect and motivate people to build their collective power.
NBDT believe a community led approach is the most effective way to create change.
Shops with Soul
NBDT run two charity shops, our 'Opportunity Shops', on Laird Street and Hoylake Road, Birkenhead. The Opp Shops are charity shops that make a difference to Birkenhead. They are staffed by a dedicated team of volunteers, creating a vital social space for members of our community, whilst providing good quality clothing and bric-a-brac at bargain prices.
